The article reports on the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants' yearly nationwide management of an accounting practice survey of local and regional firms. Its objectives are to help small business compare themselves with other small firms and identify the attributes, such as firm size, sources of income, expenses, employee benefits and administrative procedures that affect a firm's operation. A total of 1, 428 enterprises, categorized as either sole practitioners or multi-owner, took part in the survey voluntarily and anonymously. |
