| الوصف: | El siguiente ensayo es parte de la conferencia pronunciada con motivo de mi investidura como doctor honoris causa de la Universidad de Murcia (España), el 29 de abril de 2016. En él se reivindica la Historia científica como pieza fundamental en los estudios primarios y secundarios, y también universitarios. Ello en la línea de considerar la formación en humanidades como un elemento básico y no solamente complementario en la formación de todos los conciudadanos. Se argumenta que la historia entendida como materia escolar no debe concebirse como una serie de conocimientos acabados, sino como una aproximación a un conocimiento en construcción, como lo es cualquier conocimiento científico. The following essay is a part of the lecture given upon reception of the author’s Honoris Causa degree from the University of Murcia (Spain) on 29 April 2016. This essay argues that history with a scientific focus should form a central part of compulsory and higher education. Education in Humanities should be considered a basic element of citizenship education and not its complement. The author argues that History as a school subject should be conceived more broadly than merely finite knowledge. It should instead be considered knowledge in construction, as in any other scientific area. |
