| الوصف: | The transcendental value of water in the Region of Murcia (Spain), a territory with a pronounced water deficit and with an extensive agricultural and fertile area, determined that certain hydraulic systems once took advantage to privatize and trade with a good that was so necessary and scarce. Among these, four hydraulic infrastructures with catchment area in Fuente Álamo de Murcia have been identified. In a comparative analysis carried out from information collected through bibliographic and documentary review, as well as by interviews, it is revealed that owners established a market for the sale of water through public auctions where bidders obtained the different irrigation rights. Thus, the objective is to study this traditional commercial activity carried out in the 19th and 20th centuries and to compare the results obtained with those of similar auctions linked to other regional and national infrastructures. A historical and singular hydraulic management system that defines part of the water culture of this region and magnifies its patrimonial value is analysed; it is about, a true milestone in the adaptation of society to water insufficiency, the optimization of available resources and the economic use of a valuable and reduced asset. ; El valor trascendental del agua en la Región de Murcia (España), un territorio con un acusado déficit hídrico y con una extensa superficie agraria disponible y fértil, condicionó que determinados sistemas hidráulicos de esta comunidad autónoma aprovechasen antaño dicha carestía para privatizar y comerciar con un bien tan necesario y escaso en su espacio.
