| الوصف: | Delaware Riverkeeper Network staff was asked by the Bordentown City Environmental Commission to review open space areas along Thortown Creek to assess conditions and provide recommendations related to the stream, riparian restoration, and a planned trail corridor. This report provides an overview of site characteristics, an assessment of areas of special concern and of vegetation communities, the results of an integrated assessment of the overall health and quality of habitats. Recommendations include developing a vision for restoration, organizing a local conservation strategy, purchasing property along riparian properties, invasive species control, stabilization of erosion along banks, changing private residence practices, and recruiting and retaining volunteers.
