In general, diaphragmatic trauma has been considered a serious and potentially fatal injury in the diagnosis, management and opportune treatment that largely conditions the patient's survival. The case of a 48-year-old male patient with no comorbidities is reported, who presented a fall of 10 meters from a height after carrying out work activities, presenting impact on the surface of the ground in supine decubitus. After carrying out complementary examinations, a traumatic left diaphragmatic hernia was evidenced, being surgically intervened; Procedure performed exploratory laparotomy + left diaphragmatic herniorrhaphy + left pleural drainage, patient with favorable evolution discharged without complications. ; En general, el traumatismo diafragmático ha sido considerado como una lesión grave y potencialmente mortal en el diagnóstico, manejo y tratamiento oportuno que condiciona en gran magnitud la sobrevida del paciente. Se reporta el caso de un paciente, sexo masculino de 48 años de edad, sin comorbilidades, que presenta una caída de 10 metros de altura tras realizar actividades laborales, presentando impacto sobre superficie de tierra en decúbito supino. Tras realizar exámenes complementarios, se evidencia hernia diafragmática izquierda traumática, siendo intervenido quirúrgicamente; Procedimiento realizado laparotomía exploratoria + herniorrafia diafragmática izquierda + avenamiento pleural izquierdo, paciente con evolución favorable egresa sin complicaciones. |
