| الوصف: | This article of reflection identifies three key moments of educational policies on the teaching of social sciences and history in the continent: one linked to nationalist interests that became romantic and patriotic learning; another influenced by international currents that introduced citizen, cosmopolitan and environmentally sensitive concerns; and another, in progress, open to sensitive pasts and subject to dispute with different social actors and the State. Such division transcends the chronological boundaries and expresses different functions that have been assigned to this school knowledge, where at present, the controversies about the approach of recent stories, dictatorships or restricted democracies, show not only the controversial nature that it has but the complex dynamics that it keeps with the social and political realities that underlie the school. ; El presente artículo de reflexión identifica tres momentos clave de las políticas educativas sobre la enseñanza de las ciencias sociales y la historia en algunos países de Latinoamérica: uno ligado a intereses nacionalistas que devino en aprendizajes románticos y patrioteros; otro influenciado por corrientes internacionales que introdujo preocupaciones ciudadanas, cosmopolitas y sensibles a los entornos; y otro, en curso, abierto a los pasados sensibles y objeto de disputa con diferentes actores sociales y el Estado. Tal división trasciende las fronteras cronológicas y expresa diferentes funciones que se la han asignado a este saber escolar, donde en la actualidad, las polémicas sobre el abordaje de las historias recientes, las dictaduras o las democracias restringidas, evidencian no solo el carácter controversial que tiene sino la compleja dinámica que guarda con las realidades sociales y políticas que subyacen a la escuela. |
