الوصف: Several new features have been added to the former inertial damping of the Virgo Superattenuator, with the aim to reduce as much as possible the coupling with seismic noise due to the use of LVDT sensors, referred to ground, for the position control of the inverted pendulum. The reduc-tion of the LVDT control bandwidth was prevented by the cradle effect, causing nasty translation-to-tilt couplings. We describe how such effect was strongly reduced using digital subtraction, making possible to lower the blending frequency and reduce the seismic coupling by a factor 10. Analysing the response of the sensors we deduce that the seismic noise is dominated by tilt at low frequency. We show how this is a limit to the control performance and conclude that further improvements of the inverted pendulum control can be achieved only if the tilt d.o.f. are as well controlled. This could be a crucial issue for the upgrades of the Virgo
