Hemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) is a life-threatening hyperinflammatory disorder of immune regulation. HLH following hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation (HSCT) is unusualand the diagnosis may be challenging because diagnostic criteria overlap with common complications after HSCT, such as graft-versus-host disease and infections. We present a patient who developed HLH secondary to Toxoplasma gondii reactivation. ; La linfohistiocitosis hemofagocítica (HLH) es un trastorno hiperinflamatorio potencialmente mortal originado por alteración en la regulación inmunitaria. La HLH que ocurre posterior a un trasplante de células progenitoras hematopoyéticas (TCPH) es infrecuente y su diagnóstico puede ser un desafío, ya que los criterios diagnósticos se superponen con las complicaciones comunes posteriores al TCPH, como la enfermedad injerto contra huésped (EICH), las infecciones, o ambas situaciones. Presentamos una paciente que desarrolló una HLH secundaria a reactivación de Toxoplasma gondii. |
