Cervical-uterine cancer is one of the most frequent and mortal among Ecuadorian women. In this sense, uncountable resources are allocated by Health Institutions and by the patient herself and her relatives. Nevertheless, the activities related to both its health and non-health value chain, are not exactly known. The aim of this paper is to show the design of value chain of cervical-uterine cancer treatments in the Society for Fighting against Cancer in Portoviejo, Manabí, as this will make easier the efficient use of the resources on the part of the involved actors. For that, the case study method is used by means of research and technical tools like interview and bibliographic search. ; El cáncer cervicouterino es uno de los padecimientos de mayor presencia y mortalidad entre las mujeres ecuatorianas. En este sentido, son innumerables los recursos que se erogan por parte de las instituciones de salud y del propio paciente y sus familiares. No obstante, no se conocen con exactitud las actividades que se relacionan con su cadena de valor tanto sanitaria como no sanitaria. El objetivo de este trabajo consiste en exponer el diseño de la cadena de valor de los tratamientos del cáncer cervicouterino en la Sociedad de Lucha contra el Cáncer de Portoviejo, Manabí, ya que facilitará el uso eficiente de los recursos por parte de los actores involucrados. Para ello, se emplea el método estudio de caso mediante la utilización de herramientas y técnicas de investigación como la entrevista y la revisión bibliográfica. |
