| الوصف: | APS. The specific objectives were: to identify preventions of gestational diabetes and to describe a care strategy from the perspective of nurses for the prevention of gestational diabetes. This is an integrative literature review study, descriptive and qualitative approach. The search for the articles should be carried out in the databases of the Virtual Health Library (VHL) - Bireme, presented the search period between January and February 2021, in the databases: American and Caribbean Lactic Literature on Health Science (LILACS), Nursing Databases (BDENF), Online Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO). Abstracts were read and those with relevance to support the discussion of the theme were selected and read in full. From this preliminary reading, 14 articles were selected that maintained consistencies with the descriptors presented above and with the objectives of the study. Most articles showed that the health education process is a nurse strategy that is fundamental for the prevention of gestational diabetes mellitus in primary health care. ; APS. Los objetivos específicos fueron: identificar las prevenciones de la diabetes gestacional y describir una estrategia de atención desde la perspectiva de las enfermeras para la prevención de la diabetes gestacional. Se trata de un estudio integrador de revisión de la literatura, de enfoque descriptivo y cualitativo. La búsqueda de los artículos debe realizarse en las bases de datos de la Biblioteca Virtual en Salud (BVS) - Bireme, presentada el período de búsqueda entre enero y febrero de 2021, en las bases de datos: Literatura Láctica Americana y del Caribe en Ciencias de la Salud (LILACS), Bases de Datos de Enfermería (BDENF), Biblioteca Electrónica Científica en Línea (SciELO). Se leyeron los resúmenes y se seleccionaron y leyeron en su totalidad aquellos con relevancia para apoyar la discusión del tema.
