الوصف: In the human liver, metronidazole is metabolized by side-chain hydroxylation, oxidation or glucuronidation to form more polar metabolites. Metronidazole can also undergo modification by gut microbiota producing reduced metabolites such as N-(2-hydroxyethyl)-oxamic acid and acetamide.
