This text presents the results of an integrative literature review presenting the current synthesis of research on the theme. The study main aim was to know and analyze recent publications, to observe the methodologies used, to broaden the theoretical background, to create hypotheses, and to establish strategies for further research. To achieve the research aims, the article contextualizes history teaching and its importance. Next, it discusses the curriculum of this school subject in the initial years of elementary school focusing on official documents, but supported by the authors that analyze this theme. Then, the museum is approached as a possibility in history teaching and finally, the article presents the data and the literature integrative review analysis. We concluded that using museums as resources in history teaching cannot be visited in an unsystematic manner, but rather following a previous plan devised by teachers with a specific purpose in mind. ; Este texto apresenta o resultado de uma revisão integrativa de literatura sobre o museu como possibilidade na elaboração de práticas docentes no Ensino de História nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental. Os objetivos consistiram em identificar a síntese atual das pesquisas sobre a temática, observar as metodologias utilizadas, ampliar o referencial teórico, criar hipóteses e estabelecer estratégias para futuras pesquisas. Para tanto, primeiro o artigo contextualiza o Ensino de História, bem como sua importância. Depois, coloca em debate o currículo da disciplina nos Anos Iniciais do Ensino Fundamental a partir dos documentos oficiais em diálogo com autores que analisam a temática. Na sequência, apresenta-se o museu como possibilidade de diversificação de fontes no ensino de História para, por fim, discorrer sobre os dados e análises da revisão integrativa de literatura.
