| الوصف: | Describing is a method widely used by many writers. This category is considered fundamental for the construction of the drama of the setting and especially of the characters of the narrative. Georg Lukács (1968) defends the thesis that the presence of the description is fundamental to affirm, in the setting and the characters, the particular type that is each one of him and his degree of dramaticity. Already Candido, in the book The character of fiction "(1968) fosters the importance of the humanistic description to build a good character. In the novel Vidas Secas (1938) this category is determinant in the work for the construction not only of the setting, but, mainly, for the construction of the characters. Baleia is an example of how the description and all descriptive game involving it, alternate between the point of view of the narrator and the character itself. And this adds strongly to what is alluded to the construction of a character surrounded by dramas. Maicon Teffel in his book Brief Study on Narrative Focus (2008) explains, based on Norman Friedman's theory of narrative focus, how these changes of point of view are given in a narrative. Such resources are deliberative so that it is possible, in an original way, to stimulate the reflection on diverse spheres and dogmas of our lives. ; Descrever é um método muito utilizado por vários escritores.
