| الوصف: | The effectiveness of micronized 85% insecticidal dusts was evaluated against free-flying Japanese beetles, Popillia japonica Newman, in 1,000-cu.-ft. test chambers and in aircraft. Freshly applied deposits from approximately 2 g. (0.07 oz.) actual DDT per 1,000 cu. ft. gave 100% mortality of beetles exposed in aircraft for 1 hour. In chamber tests Sevin®(1-naphthyl N -methylcarbamate) gave 99 to 100% mortality at dosages as low as 0.25 g. (0.01 oz.) per 1000 cu. ft. Sevin, however, has not been cleared for aircraft treatment. |
