الوصف: The Syngenta University Innovation Center at Manchester University, UK, continued to play a significant role in delivering agricultural electronics throughout the food supply chain. Syngenta Agribusiness initiated such a strategy in 2005 to enable a step change in farm productivity and the crop usage by combining agri-science and non-conventional technologies, such as sensors and informatics. The main aim of the strategy was to deliver new approaches to food, feed, and sustainable fuel supply through the integration of these technologies within the existing practices of the company's main business ventures. Significant developments in low-cost electronics, wireless telemetry, and new sensor science have encouraged the company to develop cost-effective sensors for meeting the needs of the entire food supply chain.
