Teoretična izhodišča: Sladkorna bolezen je ena najkompleksnejših kroničnih bolezni. Od pacienta zahteva veliko mero sodelovanja, ustreznega ukrepanja ob težavah in discipline, zato je seveda nujno, da pacienti razumejo vse mehanizme in dejavnike, ki vplivajo na koncentracijo glukoze v krvi. Za to pa morajo biti ustrezno poučeni. Zato je del sodobne obravnave sladkornega pacienta z inzulinsko črpalko tudi redno in temeljito poučevanje pacientov. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je v teoretičnem delu predstaviti sladkorno bolezen, inzulinsko črpalko ter ugotoviti ali se je pacientom z inzulinsko črpalko kakovost življenja spremenila. Metode: Uporabili smo opisno (deskriptivno) metodo dela. Raziskava je temeljila na kvantitativni metodologiji. Za zbiranje podatkov smo uporabili anonimni anketni vprašalnik. Raziskavo smo izvedli v Bolnišnici Topolšica v diabetološki ambulanti. V raziskovalni vzorec smo vključili 40 pacientov z inzulinsko črpalko. Rezultati in diskusija: Ugotovili smo, da pacienti znajo dobro rokovati z inzulinsko črpalko. Tako lahko sklepamo da osebje v diabetološki ambulanti paciente dobro poučuje in motivira. Za doseganje dobre urejenosti sladkorne bolezni pa je najboljši način metoda štetja ogljikovih hidratov. Kakovost življenja anketiranih se je spremenila na boljše. Iz podatkov sklepamo, da uporaba inzulinske črpalke bistveno vpliva na zadovoljstvo z urejenostjo sladkorne bolezni in na kakovost njihovih življenj. Theoretical aspects: Diabetes is one of the most complex chronic diseases. With regards to the patient diagnosed with diabetes, strong cooperation and discipline are needed as well as appropriate intervention, if the problems occur. Therefore, it is necessarily for the patients to understand all the mechanisms and factors which influence the glucose level in blood, and that the patients are provided with an adequate education. Modern insulin pump therapy for the patients with diabetes is therefore accompanied by regular and thorough education. Purpose: Regarding the theoretical part of the diploma thesis, the purpose is to present the diabetes and an insulin pump. Another objective is to found out, if the therapy with the insulin pump influences patient’s quality of life. Methods: In the diploma thesis, a descriptive method was used. The research is based on the quantitative methodology. For gathering of information needed, an anonymous survey was conducted at the diabetes clinic of the Topolšica Hospital. 40 patients treated with an insulin pump were included in the research sample. Results and discussion: According to the research, the patients are well practised for using the insulin pump. That means that the medical personnel at the diabetes clinic of the Topolšica Hospital provide suitable education and motivation for the patients. The best method for achieving good diabetes management is carbohydrate counting. The quality of life of the respondents has improved. To conclude, according to the data gathered, the use of the insulin pump essentially influences patient’s quality of life and his/her satisfaction with diabetes management. |
