Teoretična izhodišča: V diplomskem delu je predstavljena obravnava otroka s sladkorno boleznijo in inzulinsko črpalko. Predstavljen je razvoj sladkorne bolezni pri otroku, posebnosti glede na razvojna obdobja otroka, življenje otroka z inzulinsko črpalko ter vloga medicinske sestre. Raziskovalne metode: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela s podrobno preučitvijo domače in tuje literature. Domačo literaturo smo pridobili s pomočjo podatkovne baze COBISS, tujo s pomočjo podatkovnih baz Springerlink in Google book. Rezultati: Sladkorna bolezen v Sloveniji in po svetu je v porastu, saj se število obolelih letno poveča za kar 4 %. Vloga medicinske sestre – edukatorke je bistvenega pomena, saj s pravilno edukacijo pripomoremo k boljšemu vodenju sladkorne bolezni in s tem k boljšim vrednostim glikoliziranega hemoglobina. Theoretical background: The thesis presents the treatment of children with diabetes and insulin pump therapy. It presents the development of diabetes in children, according to the specificities of developmental stages of the child, and their life with insulin pump therapy. Research methods: In this thesis, we used the descriptive method to work with a detailed examination of domestic and foreign literature. Local literature were obtained through the COBISS database, with the help of foreign databases SpringerLink and Google book. Results: Diabetes in Slovenia and around the world is increasing, the number of cases increases annually as 4 %. The role of nurses is essential in education of diabetes managment, as a result of contributing to better managed diabetes and there by to better values of glycosylated hemoglobin.
