Hypoxia challenges left ventricular (LV) function due to reduced energy supply. Conflicting results exist whether high‐altitude exposure impairs LV diastolic function and thus contributes to the high altitude‐induced increase in systolic pulmonary artery pressure (sPAP) and reduction in stroke volume (SV).
