Several methods have been previously adop 3 ted to prepare the title compound: from cycloheptanone, from 1 -methoxycycloheptenef from suberic acid: from methyl 7-iodoheptanoate6,and from 6-bromohexanoic acid or 7 from E-caprolactone. |
