| الوصف: | The aim of this research is to study the effects of note-taking strategy on history achievement and retention. Juniors (31 females and 41 males) attending History of Turkish Republic course participated at this research. The pre- and post-test experimental design with a control group was utilized. One of the groups was taught note-taking strategy and the other group was taught traditionally. Before the treatment, the students in the experimental group were trained as to use note-taking strategy. The data of the research were collected through Achievement Tests. Arithmetic Mean, Standard Deviation, t test, Dependent t test, were used to analyze the data. The research has yielded the following results: note-taking strategy is more effective on history achievement and retention than traditional instruction. Bu arastırmada not alma stratejisinin ögretiminin Tarih dersinde akademik basarı ve hatırda tutma üzerindeki etkileri incelenmistir. Bu arastırma üniversite 3. sınıf Cumhuriyet Tarihi dersinde, 72 (31 kız, 41 erkek) ögrencinin katılımıyla gerçeklestirilmistir. Arastırmada öntest-sontest kontrol gruplu deneysel arastırma modeli kullanılmıs, arastırma gruplarından birine strateji ögretimi yapılmıs, digerinde ise geleneksel ögretim yapılmıstır. Deney grubundaki ögrenciler not alma stratejilerini uygulayacak biçimde yetistirilmislerdir. Arastırmanın verileri, Basarı Testleri ile toplanmıstır. Arastırma verilerinin analizinde Aritmetik Ortalama, Standart Sapma, Bagımlı t testi, t testi kullanılmıstır. Arastırmanın sonunda not alma stratejisinin ögretiminin Tarih basarısı ve hatırda tutma üzerinde geleneksel ögretime göre daha etkili oldugu belirlenmistir. |
