مستخلص: Vocational evaluation is a profession at the crossroads. The profession saw growth in the 1960's thanks to a few interested vocational evaluators, who developed a strong national organization, the Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment Association (VEWAA), to a schism that created a new organization, the Vocational Evaluation and Career Assessment Professionals (VECAP). At present the combined membership of both organizations is less than VEWAA at its zenith. We have witnessed the development and dissolution of the Certified Vocational Evaluation Specialist (CVE). Where are we headed as a profession? Current trends including collaboration, publications, use of technology and a need for re-vitalization of the profession are discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
