مستخلص: The article presents a case study on the annual intake trends of urban animal rehabilitation center in South Africa. Using records from the rehabilitation center, it was revealed that 90 percent of the intake was birds. Examples of animals not rehabilitated in South Africa include rhinoceros, elephants, seals, penguins and bats. The categories of data used in the study included the identification of the animal and information about the rescuer, causes for the intake, and condition and immediate fate of the animal.
