The article presents information on how managed composting can help in keeping "renewable" materials out of landfills. The author observes that the special feature of many renewable materials is that they can be composted or recycled. This gives these materials a wide range of after-use options. Managed composting-like aerobic biodegradation in nature-permit renewable and organic materials to be regained in a "carbon-neutral" manner and produce an useful soil amendment. |
