The article presents the new international terminal at Haneda Airport opened to long-haul services by the Japanese government. It cites British Airways as the first European airport carrier to use the airport although and the pairing of airline joint ventures approved in November 2010 by the U.S. Department of Tourism which will result in coordinated scheduling, pricing and network planning between the U.S. and Japan. It notes a quicker recovery from the global economic crisis for the Asia/Pacific region which led to increased travel demand. |
