مستخلص: A novel class of heterogeneous catalysts prepared from inorganic Grignard reagents is shown to provide finely divided transition metal–carbon nanostructures with potential advantages as selective hydrogenation catalysts under mild liquid phase conditions. Preliminary investigations of the catalytic behavior of these materials in diastereoselective reductive amination reactions are described. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
