The author reflects on the various concepts of aesthetic education. This was due to the paucity of materials concerning the aesthetic values to which a reader perceives. It has been believed that there was no dearth of materials for the economic, political, social, and other values. However, some could cite that would justify the teaching of the aesthetic values. In this connection, the author mentioned about the proposed "Journal of Aesthetic Education" that was precisely needed by most educational personnel to clarify the role of the arts in the curriculum, especially the curriculum of general education. |
