مستخلص: |
The article compares the acute bronchodilatory effect of the long-acting β2-agonist formoterol against the short-acting β2-agonist terbutaline during exercise-induced bronchoconstriction in children with asthma. The children conducted standardized treadmill exercise tests, breathing dry air with a submaximal workload. The results showed that formoterol and terbutaline demonstrated a significant acute bronchodilatory effect from three minutes after dose compared with placebo. There was no difference between formoterol and terbutaline five minutes after dose. |
