The article focuses on a cooperative educational program to render more effective assistance to the smaller secondary schools and teachers in rural areas in the fields of curriculum development and in-service education for teachers in Michigan. The author implies that the project is not an attempt to dominate, direct, or determine the nature of curriculum change in the public schools. The service is set up especially for smaller secondary schools which do not generally have sufficient funds to carry out an effective in-service education program. |
