A study conducted by researchers at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine explores the impact of remote ischemic postconditioning (RIPostC) as an adjunctive therapy for acute ischemic stroke (AIS) in China. The study involved a systematic review and meta-analysis of 38 randomized controlled trials, encompassing 4,334 patients. The findings suggest that RIPostC, a noninvasive and cost-effective therapy, activates endogenous protective mechanisms and provides benefits to patients with AIS.
