مستخلص: A new report discusses the diagnostic challenges of Lyme neuroborreliosis (LNB) in inpatient neurology. Lyme disease, transmitted through ticks, is most commonly diagnosed in certain states but is expanding due to climate change. Approximately 10%-15% of untreated Lyme disease cases develop neurologic manifestations of LNB. The report highlights three cases from a low-incidence state, emphasizing the importance of prompt diagnosis and treatment, as well as the use of two-tiered serum testing, lumbar puncture, and MRI to eliminate other diagnoses. Treatment with antibiotics leads to significant improvement in neurological symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
