A recent study conducted by researchers at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania, focuses on a rare type of neurofibroma called diffuse neurofibroma. The study presents the case of a 17-month-old boy with diffuse neurofibroma of the scalp, which is associated with hypertrichosis (excessive hair growth).
