Since the second and early third centuries also witnessed the first two dynasties of provincial origin, the Nerva-Antonines and the Severans, it would have been worthwhile to dedicate some space to the relationship between the Campanian elites and the emperors. In his conclusive remarks, P. sustains that Campanian cities experienced a less animated urban life during the second and early third centuries than during the early first century CE.
