The article offers information on the vestibular syndrome in rabbits which is caused by an alteration of the nervous system that results in a characteristic tilting of the head. This disorder is usually caused by one of the pathogens: Pasteurella multocida or Encephalitozoon cuniculi. Trauma and neoplasms also need to be taken into account in the differential diagnosis, as well as other infectious agents such as Psoroptes cuniculi mite. |
