Abstract (German): Due to decreased stroke mortality rates and rising life expectancy, chronic diseases and disabilities following strokes are on the increase. This has encouraged the development of new methods in post-stroke rehabilitation. Conventional therapy methods are being combined with new active motor therapies such as somato-sensible stimulation, mental imagination and robot-assisted training using virtual reality or repetitive transcranial magnet stimulation. Suitable protocols for the use of these new therapy procedures in combination with traditional therapy must still be developed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
