The author discusses a change in publishers for the American Finance Association's (AFA's) "Journal of Finance." Beginning with the first issue of 1998, the "Journal" will be published by Blackwell Publishers. The decision to retain Blackwell was made unanimously by AFA's board of directors. Blackwell will assist AFA with its Internet initiative that aims to have all current and previous issues of the "Journal" available to AFA member in electronic format by the year 2000. Blackwell will also undertake promotional efforts designed to increase AFA's membership. |
