The article provides an overview of a research programme that has brought back the Victorian notion of willpower as a limited supply of energy significant in controlling important phenomena in human body. It notes that self-control processes have been associated together with mind, body and a daily activities with resisting temptations in decision making. The effects of ego depletion on wide assortment of human behavior are also highlighted. |
