The article offers information on the life and works of St. Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. St. Padre Pio was born in 1887 in Pietrelcina, Italy. In 1918, Pio transferred to a remote town in San Giovanni Rotondo at the age of 30. During that year, St. Padre Pio prayed for the end of World War I, wherein Jesus Christ revealed to him several times. Moreover, he believed that the love of God was inseparable from suffering and that suffering all things for the sake of God was the way for the soul to reach God. |
