مستخلص: The article presents a study which examines the relation between brachial artery flow-mediated dilation (BAFMD) on individual and total scores on the physical functional performance (PFP-10) test in elderly subject. The results indicate significant relationships between vascular function, defined by BAFMD and individual items as well as the total scores achieved on the PFP-10. It notes that based on individual's PFP-10 total score, those in the highest functional class exhibited the highest BAFMD. Moreover, the results suggest that lower physical function may in part be the consequence of some pathology, injury or defect in peripheral vascular function, contributing to functional limitation and disability in aging population.
