The article describes the case of a 14-year-old girl who experience hallucinations, 7 days after taking lamotrigine together with valproic acid and amitriptyline for partial complex seizures with secondary generalization. She also developed a low-grade temperature and complained of ankle pain, as well as fine lacy rash over her arms and legs. Lamotrigine was discontinued and the visual and auditory hallucinations were resolved as well as her rash. The results of her laboratory examinations were given, which include valproic acid level and liver enzymes. |
