مستخلص: |
This article discusses a rare case of a 36-year-old female patient who presented with symptoms such as ataxia, hearing loss, tinnitus, facial numbness, ear ache/pressure, vertigo, vomiting, headache, and vertical diplopia. The patient was diagnosed with a cerebellopontine angle (CPA) exophytic brainstem glioma that mimicked a vestibular schwannoma (VS). After a multidisciplinary tumor conference, a biopsy was performed, revealing a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) with specific genetic mutations. The patient underwent chemoradiation treatment but unfortunately experienced ongoing symptoms and survived for 14 months post-treatment. This case highlights the importance of careful analysis of MRI scans, multidisciplinary discussions, and planning for biopsy and surgery in similar cases. [Extracted from the article] |
