Discusses the case of a sexually intact female Boxer and spayed female Boxer evaluated at the University of Tennessee Veterinary Teaching Hospital because of progressively worsening dysphagia. Symptomatology; Results of feeding trials and esopharagphy; Euthanasia conducted on the dogs due to poor quality of life and prognosis for recovery; Conclusion that historic abnormalities in both dogs were consistent with chronic inflammatory myopathy or dystrophic myopathy. |
