The article focuses on Beers Criteria for potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) use is a list of medications published by the American Geriatric Society that was most updated in 2019. Topics include the guidelines contain a list of medications that should be prescribed with caution in geriatric adults due to the plethora of side effects associated with many of these drugs, and the prior study by our group demonstrated that several classes of PIMs including benzodiazepines. |
