The article presents research on the best management practices (BMPs) perspectives as pollution control systems to improve the water environment in the U.S. An analysis of research trends through traditional bibliometric methods of certain fields mainly from publication output, geographical distribution and performance is outlined. The use of geographical information systems (GIS) in BMPs research with a stable frequency from 1994 to 2013 is also tackled. |
