مستخلص: | The article reports that managers fail to delegate effectively and unwittingly encourage their subordinates to reverse delegate. The goal of managers is to increase discretionary time and decrease reverse delegation or subordinate imposed time requirements. Managers should make sure they are aware of tasks and who is responsible for them, taking care to avoid reverse delegation whenever possible. Many managers fear that empowered subordinates who do excellent work will outshine their managers. Managers should recognize their own insecurities, fears, and need to be in control, perhaps even their sense that only they can do the work correctly in any case. |
