Determination of the LD-profile is suggested as a marker for endometrial carcinoma in women with postmenopausal bleeding. Transvaginal ultrasonography might be combined with determination of the LD-isoenzyme profile to secure the diagnosis of endometrial malignancy in order to minimize the use of other more invasive diagnostic methods. |
