مستخلص: | The article discusses an evaluation whether a single session of motivational enhancement therapy (MET) will increase readiness to change, improve efficacy of self-help treatment for binge eaters, and improve compliance with self-help manual. Participants with eating disorder were randomly assigned to attend a one-hour MET session prior to receiving the manual or to receive the manual only. An assessment period for four months was conducted. Results showed that MET intervention increased the readiness to change binge eating compared to self-help-only condition. |
