مستخلص: Background and aim: Fourier domain Optical Coherence Tomography is a new imaging modalitycharacterised by a high resolution (10 -15) μm. We aimed to optimise this technique by determining the optimal flushing solution, the optimal pull-back speed, and the optimal injection rate and volume regimen. Materials and methods: Animal model: We performed FD-OCT on a swine model. We tested multiple flushing solutions at 2 injection rate and volume regimens. Results: Half strength Iodixanol/ voluven solution yielded excellent image quality comparable to the full strength Iodixanol. Conclusion: Half strength Iodixanol/ voluven solution seems to be an efficient alternative to full strength Iodixanol with an acquisition quality comparable and with half the usual dose of contrast agent.
