    وصف الملف: The greenhouse effect is a phenomenon that causes an increase in atmospheric temperature through the interaction between greenhouse gases and infrared radiation emitted by planet Earth. This phenomenon has historically been aggravated by human actions, especially after the industrial revolution. This topic has the potential to explore the relationships between Science, Technology and Society in chemistry teaching, and is linked to scientific knowledge in different areas and to students' daily lives. In addition, the emergence of attitudes that preserve the environment is a factor that contributes to the relevance of the theme. The present work aimed to develop the planning of an interdisciplinary island of rationality on the greenhouse effect for the teaching of chemistry in high school. A bibliographic survey was carried out in Química Nova na Escola journal and in the annals of the Encontro Nacional de Pesquisa em Ensino de Química to verify the recurrence of academic works that proposed didactic strategies on the subject in chemistry teaching. The results showed the lack of research, which may be related to the complexity of the topic. To support teachers in implementing the proposed approach, easily accessible materials in Portuguese on the greenhouse effect were recommended. Through the proposed interdisciplinary island of rationality, it is possible to develop a STS approach on the subject that enables the understanding of the importance of climate issues, through the approach of interdisciplinary knowledge. Teaching this topic becomes even more important in the current context, where climate denial discourses are on the rise.; application/pdf
