الوصف: The challenges of the contemporary world demand answer from the environmental field, and the teaching of biology and Environmental Education have played a central role in this debate. Environmental Education can contribute to biology teaching by expanding reflections on environmental issues at the nature-culture interface. In the present study, we chose to give centrality to the curricular content of biology - Atlantic Forest and develop a didactic sequence that contributes to constructing a broader view of the Brazilian biome and its biocultural diversity. We value ecological, ethical, aesthetic, and political approaches in a proposal of a didactic sequence that problematizes realities. Initially, we sought to understand how the theme is present in Brazilian school textbooks. When verifying that the textbooks worked from the description of the biome, we tried to build a didactic sequence through problematizations. The proposed sequence is based on exploring and introducing new knowledge, synthesis, and application phases. We proposed activities containing conceptual, procedural, and attitudinal contents for each phase that could engage students by generating interest, participation, and commitment to learning about environmental issues. ; Los desafíos del mundo contemporáneo exigen respuestas desde el campo ambiental y la enseñanza de la biología, así como la Educación Ambiental, han jugado un papel central en este debate. La Educación Ambiental puede contribuir a la enseñanza de la biología ampliando las reflexiones sobre cuestiones ambientales en la interface naturaleza-cultura. En el presente estudio, optamos por dar centralidad a un contenido curricular de biología - Mata Atlántica (bioma de selva de la zona costera de Brasil) y desarrollar una secuencia didáctica que contribuya a la construcción de una visión más amplia del bioma brasileño y su diversidad biocultural.
