مستخلص: The article discusses case of delayed-type allergy to phenazone in a patient with erythema multiforme. A 34-year-old man in good health developed erythema multiforme-like lesions on the trunk and extremities every time the patient used a particular analgesic drug for a headache. The medicament is a combination of antipyrine, phenacetin and quinine sulfate. The patient had no previous history of skin problems, including contact dermatitis. Erythema multiforme, is a condition frequently caused by drugs like sulfonamides, hydantoins, barbiturates, penicillins, carbamazepine and pyrazolone derivatives like phenazone.
